Position Summary:
We are looking for a hands-on Technical Project Manager with a strong data engineering background to lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise data projects. This role demands expertise in ETL, data ingestion/migration, data warehousing, and cloud platforms (primarily AWS). The candidate will manage cross-functional teams and collaborate closely with IT and data stakeholders (including the Data Office) to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead delivery of data ingestion, ETL, and migration projects across multi-vendor teams
- Coordinate with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to align on goals and priorities
- Own project tracking, release planning, and stakeholder communications
- Support issue resolution across downstream applications and data integrations
- Balance delivery priorities and manage change and risk across the project lifecycle
- Ensure technical quality, documentation, and delivery alignment with business needs
Must-Have Skills
- 8+ years in technical project management with a development/engineering background
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools, data warehousing, and writing complex SQL
- Proficient in cloud platforms, especially AWS (Glue, S3, Lambda, etc.)
- Nice to have: Experience with Snowflake and Agile methodologies
- Strong leadership, vendor management, and stakeholder communication skills
